Our menus are created by Lee Stainthorpe and his talented team of chefs. Lee has been head chef for more than eleven years and his reputation was established with high quality contemporary cooking using local, seasonal produce – this culminated in achieving 2 AA Rosettes for 2013/2014.
The menus change frequently to make the most of seasonal ingredients and we pride ourselves on using as much local produce as possible. The pork used in our breakfast sausages comes from our own pigs reared on Barbara & Peter’s farm just a few miles from the hotel. Our own chickens provide eggs and we grow fruit including apples, pears, plums, damsons and grapes to make jam and sauces.
