*Badger Way Walk
The Morritt – Badger Way, Barningham Circular
10 miles circular walk
This route takes you from the lush parkland surrounding The Morritt and up to the wilder scenery of Barningham Moor.
Turn right out of the hotel and cross the bridge. Turn right through a farmyard and cross a field to walk up through Mill Wood. Join the road right and then along the bridleway that passes Wilson House. On your left you will see the trig point on Eggmartin Hill.
Go through the next farmyard and follow the wall and then hedge down to Low Lane. Turn right. At the road, turn right and then left along a bridleway to pass Bragg House to the moor road.
Turn right and after a mile at Haythwaite bear left onto a bridleway on to the moor. The path buy cymbalta in canada crosses towards a wall on your right. Beyond the wall corner the track climbs to your right. After ½ mile you will see a tall stone cairn away on your left – head for it.
Your return path passes by this cairn and across moorland, there are some yellow way markers. You will see some grouse butts away to your left. Soon after, at a marked cairn, keep straight onto a wall. Follow it left to a “lunch” hut. Bear left down a track to join the road at the edge of the village. In the centre of the village turn left at the junction to return to Wilson House drive.
Retrace your outward path from here back to The Morritt.
