The Morritt has for many years been one of Teesdale’s best loved country house wedding venues. Offering unique rooms, beautiful gardens, good food and a romantic setting for your special day, it has everything you need for a perfect wedding.
Located in the pretty hamlet of Greta Bridge, surrounded by rolling countryside only a short drive from Barnard Castle and Richmond, easily accessible from the A1 and the M6.

If you want a civil ceremony, we have some of the most beautiful settings imaginable. And being the first location in County Durham to offer civil ceremonies, we have huge experience in combining ceremony with celebration.
Wedding Packages
Choose from our indoor or outdoor ceremony space, elegant rooms for small or large wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations, everything you need for weddings from two to two hundred.
VARIETY OF ROOMS
The Morritt has a variety of rooms to choose from depending on your numbers, we have facilities for 10 to 150 guests, a garden ceremony space for the summer months and cosy settings for winter weddings.
